Founded in 2008, Masterpeace soon became popular for its exquisite finishings in what was referred as urban tailoring. Each piece of the collection was treated individually, focusing on detailing and tailoring techniques. The sought after fabrics were transformed into jackets and shirts as well as other garments that came out as a collaboration of Borja Sainz (designer) and Gonzalo Retenaga (founder of the brand).

The Brand philosophy was to create a wardrobe for men based on specific ideas. On the winter of 2008 the first Masterpeace pieces were released as a dark collection, full of knitted and fitted pieces in vintage fabrics.
